SD card? Could be slow writes, what card are you using? One of silver/grey SanDisk ones, 1 TB. I don't remember which direction I was trying to copy.
The SanDisk High Endurance work well with dash cameras as are warranted for such use. Yes! You can only write to nand so much, and once it hits the limit, it fails. High endurance cards use different, and/or higher quality nand that can handle thousands, if not hundreds of thousands more writes per cell before failure.
just had a look at SanDisk SD cards and found the prices very attractive indeed !..but are there big differences between the below 3 models ?..i'm hoping to find 1 reliable card for the phone and won't be writing or deleting much to the card at all..so data retention is most important..
Extreme is good enough. Anything better would be pointless for the steam deck since it would not be able to even use the extra speed. Extreme is the best option for 1tb only because of the write speeds and because Samsung Evo doesn't have a 1tb option. The Samsung 512gb card is the best overall card at the moment because of the speed and price.

I did a test earlier on the Steam Deck in windows. SanDisk extreme and extreme pro. The read speeds are the same, write speeds were 75.5mb/s vs 77.7mb/s on the extreme. So pretty much similar with a little boost on write speeds for the extreme pro card.
I bought a Samsung Pro Plus 512gb and I am having a real hard time testing it. If I test via bandwidth, I hit ~28MB/s. I tried moving games from SSD to SD card, that fails. I then decided to use Desktop mode and via wifi (5ghz) download a 3.6gb folder, which took about 60 seconds (28MB/s). This is where it gets weird.
It confirms Samsung Evo is better than Sandisk Ultra and recommends it for most general mobile phone use, but it doesn't focus on the Extreme (other than to recommend it for GoPro). On the top end it also recommends the Extreme Pro, without mentioning the Samsung Pro, suggesting SanDisk is better above the Ultra level. adrianjherman.
